Shipping from China, and the part of the bill nobody quotes you
Freight is the number you can look up. Customs is the number nobody will promise you, including the agents themselves.
Work out your own case
Pick a destination, a weight, and what you actually care about. This reads the sampled tables back to you.
Answers are precomputed from freight tables sampled 2026-10-07, so this is a lookup over a dated snapshot, not a live quote. Every answer links back to the source table so you can see whether it has moved since.
Every destination at one kilo
The picker covers all five weights. This is the one kilo slice in full.

Sampled 2026-10-07. Prices are the freight charge only: duties and taxes are separate and are never included in these quotes.
Cheap and slow are the same row surprisingly often
In 14 of the 55 sampled cells, the cheapest available line needs thirty days or more. These are rail and sea services, and they sort to the top of a price-ordered table exactly like an air line does.
The extreme in this sample is Spain at 5kg: Superbuy, quoted at 129–139 days.
Two habits worth forming. Decide your deadline before you look at prices, and filter to lines inside it first. And when a quote looks far cheaper than its neighbours, read the days column before you celebrate: that gap is usually the difference between a plane and a boat.
Customs, where every number you see is an estimate
The quotes above are freight only. Duty and tax are separate, they depend on your country and the declared value, and no agent controls them.
Read the wording on a quote carefully, because two lines at the same price can mean different things. Some lines are marked tax included, which means the carrier has priced the duty in. Others say tax on arrival, which means you pay a courier at your door before they hand the parcel over. The freight number looks identical either way.
On the honesty of tax estimates, one agent says it best in its own help centre: it cannot guarantee that a parcel will not be taxed, and the duty threshold table it publishes was collected from the internet and is not a standard. That is worth more than any confident number, and it applies to every threshold table you will find, including the ones on sites like this.
The practical consequence: treat duty as a real line in your budget rather than a risk that might not happen. If the parcel is worth enough to be taxed in your country, assume it will be.
Declared value is the one part you can discuss with an agent, and it is also where people ask for things that are not legal. Undervaluing a parcel is a customs offence in most of these destinations, and the insurance terms exclude seizure caused by paperwork problems, so you would be carrying that risk alone. Where the money goes covers the rest of the bill.
Lanes close, and the tables do not always keep up
A route that was quoted last week is not always a route you can book today.
While we were sampling for this page, LoongBuy carried a notice on its own home page that China Post services to the twenty seven EU countries were temporarily suspended. Eight of our eleven sampled destinations are in that group.
Nothing in a freight comparison table shows you that. The table lists the line and its price because the line existed when the sample was taken. Whether you can actually book it today is a question only the agent can answer, and the answer changes.
So the order of operations matters. Use a table like this one to build a shortlist of two or three agents, then check the live quote inside the agent you picked before you pay for anything. A sampled table is for narrowing down, never for the final decision.
These are snapshot numbers, not live rates. The date shown is when the figure was sampled, not when this page was built.
